Conta, a Norwegian tech company, has launched free invoicing software for freelancers, solopreneurs, and small businesses in the US.
Conta launched in Norway way back in 2009. The goal was then—and it still is—to make it easier to run a small business. With over 100 employees on board and with expansions to 10 countries so far, Conta is taking the world by storm.
What does this mean for you?
Well, it means that if you’re considering starting your own business in the US—or you’ve already taken that step—you can now use Conta to invoice your customers and clients for free. Conta can, in other words, reduce your costs, while helping you get paid.
How does Conta work?
You can easily sign up with Google or Apple, or with your email and password. Once you log in you’ll be guided through the process of creating your first invoice. You can send the invoice directly from Conta, or you can download it as a PDF.
Not only that—once the invoice has been created, you can follow up on it in the Conta dashboard. That means you’ll get notified if the invoice isn’t paid by the due date, you can resend the invoice—or send a payment reminder. Once you mark the invoice as paid, it’s one less thing to worry about.
And don’t forget to download the free mobile app, so you can keep track of your invoices on the go.
All of this is free. If you want, you can soon upgrade to our Premium package for time-saving features like setting up recurring invoices, automated payment reminders, and the possibility to send invoices via WhatsApp.
