VAT, or value-added tax, is a consumption tax that you have to add to your invoices if you’re registered for VAT. In Indonesia VAT is called Pajak Pertambahan Nilai.
The VAT rate in Indonesia is 11%, and VAT applies whether you live in Jakarta, Surabaya, Bandung, Medan, Semarang, or anywhere in else in Indonesia.
