There are many documents that require the parties to sign to confirm that they agree with the content, for example sales or lease contracts or loan agreements.

With electronic signing documents can be sent via email, then signed by the different parties after they identify themselves via an authentication method. Electronic signatures are sometimes called e-signatures.

The documents are stored alongside a log which shows who signed and when they signed.

With this method, you can both request signatures and sign documents using your mobile or laptop. There are many benefits to this:

  • The documents can be signed much quicker than if you sent them in the mail or had to gather all the parties in one place
  • The document is stored online, in an electronic archive, alongside a log which shows the history of the document.
  • It makes your business look more professional and more forward-leaning.

How do I send a document for electronic signing?

First, you have to sign up for a reliable provider, such as Adobe. Then you have to upload the documents that you want signed. You have to mark where the parties should sign, and what kind of information they have to provide, such as name, location, date, and signature.

Then you simply send the document to them straight from the provider.
