Invoice template for small businesses

Many self-employed or other small businesses use invoice templates to create invoices.

With an invoice template, you only have to fill out the blank fields to create an invoice. You also get full control over the design and can tailor the template to your own needs.

But finding the right template can be a challenge. Some are overly complex, whilst others are too simple (not meeting legal requirements) or too expensive. That is why Conta have created a library of free templates.

You might wonder why we have decided to release our free invoice templates. Well, the answer is pretty simple: We love to provide businesses with tools that make their life easier!

Not only have we launched a free invoicing software for small businesses, but now also a library of free invoice templates. In addition, we have created a series of guides on how to run a business, which we hope you will enjoy.

What invoice template formats are available?

Our designers have created invoice templates that are available in the most used word processors and spreadsheet software, including:
• Microsoft Word
• Microsoft Excel
• Adobe PDF
• Invoice with Conta

Can I use Word or Google Docs to create an invoice?

There are no restrictions on what software you can use to create invoices.

In some countries, however, it is required by law that invoices are issued in (1) an invoicing software that automatically assigns invoicing numbers, or (2) printed on pre-printed invoicing sheets.

Some businesses also require that invoices are sent to them in a digital format that only invoicing software can deliver.

Therefore, it might be smart to use free invoicing software as opposed to an invoicing template.
