Why is a timesheet important?

A timesheet is important for several reasons. Let’s dive into some of them:

1. Invoicing

Timesheets show how much time has been spent on projects, and lets you invoice clients accurately and transparently.

2. Payroll

Timesheets also ensure fair compensations for employees, and they’re essential documentation in the payroll process. Timesheets also simplify your job, as the template will let you know the total hours worked based on what you or your employee enter.

3. Track productivity

Timesheets let you see what your company spends time on. This can help ensure that you spend time on work and projects that provide value for your company. If this isn’t the case, it might be a good idea to reassess your company’s strategy.

Timesheets also show you where there is room for improvement; maybe you need to provide additional training to employees or allocate responsibilities differently.
